Three Bays Wildlife Group
A community led wildlife group covering St Austell, Mevagissey and Veryan Bays and the river catchment areas in between.
We love where we live and want to protect and enhance the local wildlife. Three Bays Wildlife does this through:
Awareness raising
Wildlife monitoring
Citizen Science Projects
Practical action
Education and training
Fundraising
Throughout the year we run events and activities you can get involved with. Check the latest news and sign up to our newsletter for more information. We would love to hear about your local wildlife sightings. Please also let us know if you spot pollution or other incidents affecting wildlife.

Three Bays Wildlife is run by volunteers, we are a friendly bunch of young and old, experienced and amateur naturalists.
We have one thing in common we all love where live and wish to protect and enhance our local wildlife.
Do not feel that you cannot play your part we need people to help with events, let us know what wildlife you have seen, leading wildlife walks and talks and much more.
The Three Bays Wildlife Group (3BW) works to further discover and enhance the special natural environment of the Three Bays Wildlife area (defined as Spit Beach to West Portholland, its adjacent coastal waters and river catchment areas in-between). The work of 3BW includes actively protecting and enhancing local wildlife through a variety of citizen science projects, awareness raising events, campaigning, fundraising and networking. Examples include butterfly monitoring, dolphin and seal studies, wildlife talks and events, snorkelling surveys, Fungi hunts, beach cleans and more. With a number of existing projects and many proposed projects we are looking to expand our volunteer base. If you love our local wildlife and would like to get involved, any way you can, we can offer roles that suit your needs.
Do you have any skills that you think would be useful to the group?
